Choosing a custom park bench manufacturer for OEM site furniture is mostly about the process behind the order: the bench has to fit a 2,340 mm gap, the bin has to carry a city logo cut into the door, or the developer wants the range sold under its own brand. That is what this page is for — bespoke manufacture run inside the same factory, coating line and QA process as our standard range.
The workflow is deliberately front-loaded. We start from your drawing or a measured brief, return a dimensioned shop drawing with material and finish callouts, then a technical data sheet (TDS) that your specifier can submit. A pre-production sample follows before tooling is committed, so a change costs a drawing revision rather than a container of scrap.
Catalogue models carry their own per-model minimum, from 5 pcs; a custom run starts at 50 pcs per model. Mixed models can share a container. Custom scope covers dimensions, RAL colours, laser-cut logos and cast plates, slat profiles, packaging (including retail-ready cartons for private label), and documentation for tender submission.
Custom work is documented like standard work: the TDS and drawing package for custom runs sets out exactly which documents accompany a quotation.

How an OEM project runs
Six stages, in this order, so that a change costs a drawing revision rather than a container of scrap.
| Stage | What you receive | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Brief | Feasibility note and target price band | Drawing, reference photo or measured dimensions |
| 2. Shop drawing | Dimensioned drawing with material and finish callouts | Approval or mark-up |
| 3. TDS | Technical data sheet for submission | Project specification section, if any |
| 4. Sample | Pre-production sample in final finish | Sign-off before tooling |
| 5. Production | Bulk run, in-process QC, pre-shipment inspection | Deposit and packing artwork |
| 6. Shipment | Container loading plan and documents | Consignee and terms confirmation |
MOQ, Sampling and Container Loading
The minimum order quantity for park benches runs on two tracks, and confusing them is the usual reason a quotation stalls. Catalogue models carry a per-model MOQ from 5 pcs — 20 pcs on most models, and the figure is printed on each product page rather than issued as a house rule. A custom run starts at 50 pcs per model, because a new length, a new slat profile or a cut logo puts the item through drawing, fixture and first-article inspection before the line runs. Mixed models can share one container, so a package of forty benches, twenty bins and a dozen planters is one order against one set of minimums, not three separate purchases.
Sampling. Every custom run starts from your drawing: we return a shop drawing, then build a pre-production sample in the final finish for sign-off before bulk production. Sample cost and its offset against the bulk order are pending factory confirmation — sales confirm both terms with the quotation.
Tooling. Laser-cut logos, cast end plates and new slat profiles need one-time tooling or fixtures, and a tooling fee applies to these items; the amount depends on the design and is pending factory confirmation until the drawing is reviewed. Standard modifications to existing frames usually need no new tooling.
Container loading. On an FOB or CIF order the load is part of the commercial offer, and it is a packing decision rather than a freight afterthought. Bench frames nest, tops and slats pack flat, and knock-down bodies ship unassembled where your installer can re-fix them on site — which is why a flat-packed order and a pre-assembled order of the same models do not occupy the same space. We do not publish a units-per-container figure: the real number moves with the model mix, the slat thickness, whether lids and doors ship fitted, and how much protective packing the finish needs. What we issue instead is a loading plan with the quotation and a packing list before the container is sealed, both showing the actual arrangement for your mix. If the site needs a delivery sequence — benches and bins first, planters later, for example — say so at quotation stage and the load will be sequenced to that order rather than to volumetric efficiency alone.
Quantity breaks. Price steps down at container-scale quantities rather than at a single threshold, so the useful question is not what five pieces cost but where the next break sits for your mix. Send the intended model count, the finish and the destination port, and the quotation returns a per-model price at that quantity with the following break identified — a project can then judge whether adding twenty units is worth the change in unit cost. Where one range has to cover several sites, splitting the order by model rather than by delivery usually costs less, because the container still travels once.
FOB, Payment Terms and the Submittal Package
Standard terms are FOB or CIF with a 30% deposit; the balance payment and shipping document arrangement are pending factory confirmation and are fixed in your quotation. Both incoterms and the payment stage are summarised on the trade terms page.
Every quotation is accompanied by the submittal package: dimensioned drawings, material and wall thickness, coating system and film thickness, RAL colour, fixings and warranty scope. What a TDS contains is set out in the TDS section of the specifications page — a custom run is documented to the same standard as a catalogue model.
Materials, coating and quality control
The same four stages apply to every model in this range, whether it is a catalogue item or a bespoke project — which is why a bench, a bin and a planter from one order will still match after five years outdoors.
Steel
Mild steel sheet and tube, laser-cut and MIG-welded; gauge selected per load path rather than a single house gauge.
Corrosion protection
Hot-dip galvanizing to ISO 1461 on request, or a zinc-rich primer where hollow sections make dipping impractical.
Powder coating
Outdoor-grade polyester powder coat over a conversion coating, cured to the coating supplier's schedule; any RAL colour.
Quality control
Incoming material check, weld inspection, coating thickness and adhesion, pre-shipment inspection with photo record.
Test reports (salt spray, coating thickness, material certificates) are issued with the shipment when requested and can be supplied at tender stage. We do not publish test figures for a product until the report for that specific build exists.
Frequently asked questions
What is the sampling process and how long does it take? +
We issue a shop drawing first, then build one sample in the final finish for your sign-off before tooling. Timing depends on the amount of new tooling; standard modifications move faster than a fully new profile. Sales will confirm the schedule once the drawing is approved.
What is included in the TDS (technical data sheet)? +
Dimensions, material grades and gauges, coating system and nominal thickness, fixing details, weight, packing data and available test reports. It is written so a specifier can drop it into a submittal without reformatting.
What can actually be customised? +
Dimensions and proportions, RAL colour and two-tone schemes, slat profile and spacing, laser-cut logos and cast plates, aperture shapes on bins, seating rims on planters, and packaging including private-label cartons. Structural changes that affect load path need engineering review first.
What is the MOQ and how does pricing step down? +
A custom run starts at 50 pcs per model. Catalogue models carry their own per-model minimum, from 5 pcs, printed on each product page. Price steps down at container-scale quantities, and because mixed models share a container a project can combine several models in one load.
Can a private-label order mix models in one container? +
Yes — that is the normal structure for distributors and own-brand ranges. Send the intended model mix and we will return a loading plan plus a per-model price at that quantity.
Are you a custom park bench manufacturer? +
Yes — custom benches run through the same Foshan factory, coating line and QA process as the catalogue range, with our own engineering for shop drawings and OEM dimensions. A custom bench run starts at 50 pcs per model; catalogue modifications such as length, colour or a cast logo start from the per-model minimum printed on each product page.
